"Proof that the human spirit is truly limitless. Despite battling ankylosing spondylitis, a degenerative autoimmune disease, and enduring 7 spinal surgeries over 10 years—4 of which were spinal fusions—I’m here to celebrate a monumental comeback. After nearly losing my life last year, I’m now running the AJC Peachtree Road Race, 10 years after having to drop out for the first time.

But I’m not stopping there! By the end of the year, I’ll complete the Triple Crown of the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta with the 10 Miler and Half Marathon.

UPDATE: I broke my foot 2 days after completing the Peachtree Road Race and was in a boot for over 6 months while it healed so I missed my ten miler and half marathon. I will be running the Peachtree Road Race again this summer and have registered again for my ten miler and half marathon and marathon in my journey towards the ultimate peach medal March 1st, 2026.
