Lesson Learned

Sometimes, when we’re feeling exceptionally good, we forget we have AS—or that we’re no longer 20 years old. We push a little too hard, skip sleep, and neglect to fuel properly before or after exercise. That’s when life gives us a firm reality check, reminding us that caffeine can only take us so far and that, just like in college, procrastination never benefits anyone.

Should I have pushed through an extra 2.25 miles today? Probably not. Could I have kept going? Absolutely. But between the honks and hollers from men driving by in my neighborhood (so rude!), loose dogs chasing me and forcing me to sprint—resulting in my personal best 2-mile time—and enough sensory overload to set my ADD brain alight, I made the wise choice to cut it short. Instead, I’ll take today and tomorrow to rest and recover after my brief attempt at reliving my 20s.

Lesson learned, life—lesson learned. Lol.

Well that didn’t work out quite like I expected. I am apparently not 20 years old anymore lol. However, I did set a 2 mile personal best running from them!
Welp, this makes a lot more sense now. I guess I can still semi-function without my meds. These are my morning meds, and it’s now 12:30 pm. Oops.
