Half-Marathon

Today was a remarkable day—I ran pain-free during my morning run, which is such a rare and cherished gift with AS. Running is the one time I truly feel no pain, so I decided to see what I was capable of. I pushed myself and achieved a goal I lost last year after breaking my foot and spending five and a half months in a boot. I ran my first-ever half-marathon distance!

Even though I planned to give it a try, I was so surprised when I did it that I didn’t even cry. Instead, I reflected on how far my body has come—from being so sick and limited by AS to where I am now. Honestly, I don’t even have the words to capture how I feel—just an overwhelming sense of gratitude and humility for the journey that brought me here.

Here’s to crushing goals and dreams with the unwavering support of the amazing people in my corner. Goals aren’t just made to be achieved—they’re made for breaking through the ceiling. I’m already looking forward to running my first marathon next year. This experience has reminded me once again: We can do hard things!

Well I crushed another goal this morning!
Post run, I am so proud of myself!
